Hi everybody,

Group therapy and venting are often pretty good, so I thought I'd do this. If you want to talk with other people who have alexithymia, you can click on this link:

https://discord.gg/kCpcJWW

Discord is a free online messaging application, safe to use and cross-platform: you can use it from your Internet browser, or download and install the Application to use it on your computer, your smartphone, tablet or any other device:
https://discordapp.com/

I hope to see some of you online in some time -- considering the forum isn't extremely active, I suppose it will take bit of a while to gain new members, so don't hesitate to come even if this thread gets old! The link will not expire.
My Discord username is nox.fox

Take care and don't stay alone ♥

Hej! I've seen that some of you have been on and off, coming to check the server a few times, using the same username but generating new accounts. It's easy to lose the access to the server, and impossible for you to successfully exchange pm or be notified by other users if your account isn't a registered one.

For this reason, I'm going to set the server so only users with a registered account can send messages, and I'll be purging the user list of clone accounts. Don't hesitate to send me a pm or reply to this thread if you have any issue!

To register a Discord account:
All you need is a valid email address (which will not be seen nor shared with anyone).
At any time, you can either click on the orange ribbon suggesting you to register, on top of the screen, or register an account here:
https://discordapp.com/login

If you want to change the email address later on, or add a profile picture for yourself (which is always nice!), you can do so by editing your settings. for this, simply click on the little cog icon that you can see down the column with the server channel, left to the chat.

It's not as scary as it seems^^

Alexithymia - emotional blindness - is a personal trait which affects roughly 10% of the population.

Alexithymia describes the difficulty of people to perceive and describe emotions of others and themselves. Most persons concerned are not aware about this deficit and usually they are just recognizing it in contact with others, especially close friends, within their family or their partner.

These pages should deliver additional information about Alexithymia and offer information for affected persons, relatives and generally interested people.
