Please help with this online survey study of alexithymia, emotion regulation and mindfulness
2017-11-10
Hi Everyone. I am doing my 4th-year Psychology degree thesis study on the topic of Alexithymia, emotional regulation, and mindfulness. the study aims to find out whether mindfulness can moderate the relationship between alexithymia and emotional regulation. It is a preliminary study on whether mindfulness training can help improve the effectiveness of psychotherapy on individuals with an elevated trait of alexithymia. Please help by participating in this online survey. The necessary ethical approval of the study is acquired. This survey takes about 25-30 minutes, and it is completely anonymous. Participants need to be 18 yrs and above. no other restrictions.

Just to let all know that if you click the link to participate in the survey a message comes up saying it has been noted you have participated in the survey. If you try the link a 2nd time it says you have already participated in the survey.

If it is no longer active, perhaps admin should delete this from the forum?

Alexithymia - emotional blindness - is a personal trait which affects roughly 10% of the population.

Alexithymia describes the difficulty of people to perceive and describe emotions of others and themselves. Most persons concerned are not aware about this deficit and usually they are just recognizing it in contact with others, especially close friends, within their family or their partner.

These pages should deliver additional information about Alexithymia and offer information for affected persons, relatives and generally interested people.
